Alaska Wildlife Viewing

Alaska boasts one of the most diverse and abundant collections of wildlife in the world. From Humpback Whales to Grizzly Bears to sea otters, sea lions, and seals, wildlife is lurking around every corner.

The small and relatively unobtrusive nature of the vessels that we operate makes them ideal for Alaska wildlife cruises. Unlike large cruise ships that scare any and all wildlife away, we are able to quietly and peacefully mingle with all types of animals. We see brown and black bears roaming the coastlines and fishing in streams. Birds - from eagles to puffins to kitty wakes to hundreds of species of shorebirds - fill the skies at every turn. An Alaska wildlife cruise is the perfect way to experience the impressive wildlife Alaska has to offer.

Whale sightings are a common occurrence and an experience you won't soon forget. We see a variety of different species of whales, depending on the season and our specific location. Humpback Whales, Dall Porpoise, Orcas, and Gray Whales are always lurking in the icy waters. Regardless of the type of whales we do so see, it will likely be a highlight of your Alaskan wildlife tour.

Regardless of initial intentions, any Alaska cruise is going to be, to some extent, an Alaska wildlife cruise. The wildlife is so abundant and prominent that you can't help but notice it. Remember to bring your camera and plenty of film, because you'll need them!

We at Alaska Charter Yachts hope you'll take a few moments to examine our cruise vessels and the cruises that we conduct. We'll be happy to field and questions or comments you have and hope we have a chance to share an Alaskan adventure cruise with you.
